Dr Sarah Metias qualified in 2007 and has practised dentistry in the United Kingdom since gaining her MJDF from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. She owns and personally runs Tower Dental Blackpool and the sister practice Station House Dental Care in Barnoldswick, where she serves as the CQC Registered Manager — meaning she is personally and legally accountable for every aspect of patient care provided at the practice.

Sarah’s clinical interests centre on cosmetic and restorative dentistry, especially composite bonding, porcelain veneers and the careful clinical management of nervous patients. Many of her most loyal patients first came to her after years — sometimes decades — of dental avoidance. Sarah’s approach is unhurried, never judgemental and built around honest communication: she will tell you when a treatment you have researched online is not right for your situation and she will recommend the most conservative option that achieves the result you actually want.

Sarah holds a PGCert in Implantology and is certified to provide simple to moderate implant cases, working alongside Dr San Chatterjee for complex implant rehabilitation. She is a member of the British Dental Association.

A first appointment with Sarah typically lasts 45–60 minutes — longer than most NHS or volume-driven private practices schedule. She will take a full history including any past dental anxiety, examine your teeth, gums and bite carefully, and discuss what you would like to change about your smile if anything. You will leave with a written treatment plan that explains your options, the costs and the realistic outcomes. Sarah does not upsell. If a treatment you have read about online is not the right answer for your mouth, she will tell you so and recommend the most conservative option that gets you the result you actually want.

As a GDC-registered dentist, Sarah completes the General Dental Council’s mandatory continuing professional development — a minimum of 100 verifiable hours every five years — and her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England requires ongoing engagement with current evidence. Her PGCert in Implantology was completed alongside clinical practice and she continues to work alongside Dr San Chatterjee on more complex implant cases at Tower Dental.
