Our team are fully GDC-registered dentists in Blackpool, and our principal dentist Dr Sarah Metias holds MJDF RCS England from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr Sarah Metias is the Principal Dentist and owner of Tower Dental. She holds MJDF RCS England (GDC 114267), a postgraduate dental qualification, and is the practice's CQC Registered Manager — personally accountable for clinical standards here.
As founder of Tower Dental Blackpool and owner of a second dental practice in Lancashire, Sarah has built practices that genuinely put patients first. She takes particular care with nervous patients — her calm, unhurried approach has helped many of our patients who previously avoided the dentist altogether. As CQC Registered Manager, she takes direct personal accountability for the clinical standards and safety of every treatment delivered at Tower Dental.
Her clinical interests are cosmetic and restorative dentistry — composite bonding, veneers, smile makeovers and whitening — where careful planning produces natural-looking results. Cosmetic results vary from person to person, and she will tell you honestly what is realistic for your teeth. Colleagues and patients alike describe her as warm, patient, unhurried and deeply committed — a dentist who treats every patient as she would treat her own family.

Dr San Chatterjee is a dentist with a special interest in Implantology. His work at Tower Dental focuses on replacing missing teeth — from single implants through to implant-supported bridges and dentures.
San has undertaken advanced training in Zurich, Stockholm and London. His attention to detail and calm chair-side manner suit complex restorative work.
He will talk you through the realistic options for your situation, including alternatives such as bridges or dentures, before anything is agreed.
Dr Alaaeldin Elraggal is an Associate Dentist at Tower Dental, holding a BDS and a PhD in Dental Biomaterials.
His doctoral research examined how restorative dental materials perform over time, and that background informs the materials he chooses for each case. Results vary between patients, and he will explain what is realistic for your teeth. Meticulous, patient and thorough, he provides general and restorative dentistry including crown and bridge work.
Dr Safa Rafiq is a dentist with a special interest in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry, with a refined eye for detail and a passion for creating natural-looking smiles. She delivers a range of aesthetic treatments — including composite bonding, veneers, whitening and crown and bridge work — with careful attention to detail. Cosmetic results vary from person to person, and she will explain what is realistic for your teeth.
Dr Rafiq focuses on minimally invasive techniques and careful, patient-centred planning. Her special interest in endodontics — including root canal treatment — means she can combine function with aesthetics, caring for the whole smile rather than just its surface.
Dr Thomas Symm is an Associate Dentist at Tower Dental, providing general dentistry with a calm, patient-centred approach. He takes particular care with patients who feel anxious about dental visits — explaining each step before it happens and working at a pace that suits you.
Thomas is passionate about calm, patient-centred general dentistry — taking time to put anxious patients at ease and helping them feel confident about their care.

"1st time having "real" work done here since Mr Barnes days. Have to say everything was great. From Sebby, front of house right through to Mohammed. Sebby explained everything and sorted payment side out - he's a happy, helpful chap & very calming. Roz and Hannah were Mohammed's assistants / trainees on the day and they were absolutely lovely, especially Roz's calming nature. Mohammed was top notch. You tend to worry when it's a new dentist, after decades of the previous dentist. After 2 or 3 minutes chatting with Mohammed (in general & about the procedure) you relax, as he clearly knows his stuff & everything was great. Highly recommend. Not saying I'm now looking forward to dentist visits, but great to know they're on the ball."
