See a Dentist Without the Wait

Yes. Tower Dental Blackpool actively welcomes new patients of all ages and backgrounds. You can join us in 3 ways. You can take an adult dental membership plan (from £19.50/month). You can put your child on our children's plan (from £9.99/month). Or you can pay as you go, with no membership commitment. We do not currently offer NHS treatment for adults.

Most new adult patients get an examination appointment within 5 to 7 working days of first contact. Want to talk about cosmetic treatment such as dental implants, veneers or Invisalign? You can usually be seen within 7 days as well. The £40 cosmetic consultation is a separate 60-minute session of its own.

There are 3 ways to register as a new patient at Tower Dental. They are all equally good:

Your new patient examination lasts 30 minutes. It includes:

• A full clinical examination by one of our GDC-registered dentists, covering all teeth, gums and soft tissues
• Digital X-rays as clinically required (usually two bitewing X-rays for new adult patients)
• Oral cancer screening to NICE guidance. It is non-invasive (nothing goes inside your body). It takes less than a minute. It is included in every adult examination
• BPE gum assessment (Basic Periodontal Examination) to check gum health
• A written treatment plan with itemised costs, sent to you by email after the appointment
• Time to ask questions — we always keep part of the examination for talking, not just clinical work

You are under no obligation to go ahead with any treatment. Many new patients leave the first examination with nothing recommended beyond regular hygiene visits.

All prices are accurate as of May 2026. We quote for any treatment beyond the examination at your consultation. Interest-free (0%) payment options are available on most treatments over £250, spread over 6 or 10 months — subject to status.

The quote is valid 90 days — take it home, get a second opinion, compare us.

You do not need to formally "deregister" from a previous practice before joining Tower Dental. Your previous practice will continue to hold your records. We can request copies (including X-rays) at your written request. This often saves a fresh set of X-rays at your first visit. It can be done within a few days.

If you have been on an NHS dental list, the move to private care is simple. You just stop going to NHS appointments. There is no penalty, fee, or formal process. Your NHS file stays with your previous practice. You can go back to NHS care at any time in the future if you choose.

• A list of any current medications and dosages
• Details of any medical conditions, allergies, or recent surgeries
• Your previous dentist's contact details if you would like records transferred
• Any X-rays or scans your previous dentist has already shared with you (most won't have these — that's fine)
• Photo ID is helpful for first-visit registration but not strictly required

If you are a nervous patient, please tell our reception team when you book. We have set ways of looking after nervous and anxious patients. That means a longer first appointment, careful explanation, and extra time and support for any treatment that follows.
