Aftercare you can rely on
Every treatment leaves the practice with written aftercare in your hand. For implants, surgical work and significant cosmetic cases you receive a follow-up call from the clinical team within 48 hours, a review appointment included in the plan, and out-of-hours emergency contact details for the first 7 days.
If something is not as expected at any point — call us. Even years later. Our intention is for every patient to feel that Tower Dental is their dentist for the long term, not just for the treatment that brought you in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer a guarantee on dental treatment?
Where the manufacturer of a material or implant offers a warranty (such as Straumann implant fixtures), we pass that warranty on to you in writing. Beyond that, dental treatment outcomes depend partly on patient factors (oral hygiene, grinding, trauma, lifestyle) that no clinician can guarantee. What we do guarantee is that any treatment we provide will meet the standards published by the GDC and the relevant Royal Colleges, and that we will put right any failure attributable to our work in line with our published care commitments.
What is your complaints procedure?
Our complaints procedure is published in full and available on request. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your care, please contact the practice manager in writing within 12 months of the issue. We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and aim to provide a substantive response within 20 working days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Dental Complaints Service (for private dental treatment) or the GDC.
How is implant work covered?
Straumann implant fixtures carry the manufacturer's lifetime warranty, passed on in writing at fit. The crown or restoration on top of the fixture is generally expected to last 10–15 years and is reviewed at each maintenance visit. Failure due to peri-implantitis is largely preventable through good hygiene and regular maintenance — which is why ongoing hygiene visits matter.
How is composite bonding covered?
Composite bonding typically lasts 5–7 years before refresh or replacement. Polish and minor repair are routine at hygiene visits. Bonding chipped through normal use within the first 12 months is repaired free of charge in most cases; chipping due to trauma or grinding is repaired at a discounted rate. The full policy is provided in writing at fit.
How are veneers covered?
Porcelain veneers are expected to last 10–15 years. Debonding within the first 12 months is rebonded free of charge in most cases. After that, replacement is at standard rates. Maintenance includes hygiene visits, a night guard if grinding is identified, and avoiding biting hard objects on bonded teeth.
Do I have to attend hygiene visits to keep guarantees valid?
Yes — for restorative and cosmetic work that requires ongoing maintenance, regular hygiene visits (typically every 6 months) are a condition of the care commitments. This is normal across UK private dentistry. Plan members have hygiene visits included; non-members can pay per visit.
What if I move away?
Care commitments transfer with you as long as your treatment record remains accurate and you can return to the practice for review. Where return is impractical, we will supply written records to your new dentist and where possible coordinate referral. Tell us in advance and we will help.
