What is the patient journey at Tower Dental Blackpool?
From first enquiry to long-term care, Tower Dental follows a five-step pathway: (1) free phone or online enquiry, (2) £79 new patient examination or £40 cosmetic consultation including written treatment plan, (3) treatment booked at your pace with 0% finance available, (4) treatment delivered with full written aftercare, (5) ongoing review and hygiene. The plan is yours to keep — no pressure to commit, no hidden costs.

The five steps

1

Enquiry — call, online or email

Phone 01253 353759, complete the booking form on any page, or email info@towerdental.uk. We respond on the same working day. Tell us what you need; we'll suggest the right type of appointment.

2

First appointment — examination or consultation

£79 new patient examination (comprehensive review with X-rays as needed) or £40 cosmetic consultation (focused on a specific concern with treatment options). Both produce a written plan with itemised costs and no obligation.

3

Treatment plan — at your pace

Take the plan home. Read it. Ask questions by phone or email. Decide when you are ready. We do not chase. Where finance is needed, we walk through 0% interest options (subject to status). Many patients return weeks or months later — that is fine.

4

Treatment delivered — fully written aftercare

Treatment is booked into appointments that suit your schedule. Each appointment includes time to settle, the procedure itself, photographs where useful, and full written aftercare. You leave knowing exactly what to expect and how to contact us if anything is not right.

5

Ongoing care — reviews, hygiene, support

Where guarantees apply (see our guarantees and aftercare page), they kick in at this stage. Hygiene visits and routine examinations keep your investment looking and functioning at its best. Plan membership simplifies this with predictable monthly cost.

What we ask of you

A productive patient relationship is two-way. We ask that you arrive a few minutes before your appointment, give us 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange, share your full medical history including any medications, and tell us honestly about anxieties, expectations and budget. None of this is unusual — it just helps us deliver care safely and well.

In return, we promise written treatment plans with no surprises, on-time appointments where humanly possible, honest answers when you ask difficult questions, and a clear complaints procedure if anything ever falls short — published in full and available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to become a Tower Dental patient?

No. Tower Dental is a fully private practice and you do not need a referral. You can book directly online, by phone (01253 353759) or by email (info@towerdental.uk).

What happens at the new patient examination?

The £79 new patient examination is a comprehensive review of your oral health, taking 30–45 minutes. It includes medical history, soft-tissue examination (including oral cancer screening), full dental charting, periodontal (gum) assessment, X-rays where indicated, intraoral photographs, and a written treatment plan with itemised costs. There is no obligation to proceed.

How long does a £40 cosmetic consultation take?

Around 30–45 minutes with the principal dentist. We listen first, examine the area of concern, talk through the realistic outcomes for your starting position, show comparable cases from the portfolio, and provide a written treatment plan with all options costed. You leave with the plan to consider — no pressure to book on the day.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Routine new patient slots are typically available within 5–10 working days. Emergency appointments are usually offered the same day. Plan members receive prioritised access. Out-of-hours cover for plan members is detailed at sign-up.

What if I am extremely nervous?

Tell us at booking. We will block a longer slot, brief the clinician, and walk through anxiety-management options before any clinical work. Sedation pathways (oral, inhalation, IV referral) are available where indicated. Many of our most loyal patients started by sitting in the chair, talking only, and leaving without any treatment that day.

How do payments work?

We accept card payment, cash, plan membership and 0% interest finance (subject to status, 6 or 10 months). The £40 cosmetic consultation deposit is refundable against any treatment you proceed with. There are no hidden charges — every price is on the fees page.

What about ongoing care after treatment?

Every treatment includes a written aftercare protocol, a follow-up review where appropriate, and clear escalation contacts if anything is not as expected. Restorative and cosmetic work also carries our care commitments — see the guarantees-and-aftercare page for the specifics.

★★★★★
"1st time having "real" work done here since Mr Barnes days. Have to say everything was great. From Sebby, front of house right through to Mohammed. Sebby explained everything and sorted payment side out - he's a happy, helpful chap & very calming. Roz and Hannah were Mohammed's assistants / trainees on the day and they were absolutely lovely, especially Roz's calming nature. Mohammed was top notch. You tend to worry when it's a new dentist, after decades of the previous dentist. After 2 or 3 minutes chatting with Mohammed (in general & about the procedure) you relax, as he clearly knows his stuff & everything was great. Highly recommend. Not saying I'm now looking forward to dentist visits, but great to know they're on the ball."

"Excellent customer service from everyone at the practice. I am extremely nervous due to previous bad experiences at other surgeries but I felt completely at ease with Saffa who explained every aspect of my treatment and what treatment I had done with photos every step to ensure I was completely satisfied and comfortable. I'm now waiting to book my next treatment session."
