Clear aligners vs traditional braces

Invisalign uses custom-made clear plastic trays instead of metal brackets and wires. You wear each set for 1–2 weeks, then switch to the next. Your teeth move gradually into the planned position over 6–18 months. Most people will not notice you are wearing them.

For mild cases, composite bonding can create the appearance of straighter teeth without moving them at all — adding material to reshape and visually align. This is faster and cheaper but only works for minor adjustments where the underlying alignment is close to correct.

Is Invisalign right for you?

Invisalign works well for crowding, gaps, mild bite issues, and teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontics. It is less suitable for severe jaw problems or very complex tooth movements. Your dentist will assess suitability at consultation using a 3D scan — you see your predicted result on screen.
