What To Expect

Weekend & Out-of-Hours Dental Care — Blackpool

Tower Dental is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The fastest route for an out-of-hours problem is a same-day weekday appointment — call 01253 353759 as early as possible. For severe pain, swelling or trauma at the weekend, NHS 111 provides urgent dental triage across Lancashire.

When to Call Immediately

  • Severe unmanaged pain, particularly if it is stopping you sleeping or eating
  • A dental abscess (swelling in the gum or face, often with throbbing pain)
  • A knocked-out permanent tooth (the first hour is critical for possible re-implantation)
  • A broken tooth causing pain or a sharp edge cutting your tongue or cheek
  • Uncontrolled bleeding from the mouth after an injury
  • Signs of infection spreading — facial swelling, difficulty swallowing, fever

What Happens When You Call

Our reception team will triage your symptoms over the phone. If a slot is genuinely needed the same day, we'll find one — we reserve capacity in every day's schedule for true emergencies. For less urgent problems (mild sensitivity, small chips without pain) we'll typically see you within 2–3 working days. All options and costs are discussed before any treatment starts.

Emergency Fees

Emergency appointments start from from £79 — this covers the assessment and any immediate pain relief. Any treatment needed is quoted separately before we begin, with 0% finance available for larger treatment plans. Membership plan members receive unlimited emergency appointments at no extra cost.

If We're Closed

Outside our hours (Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm, Sat: Closed) call NHS 111 for out-of-hours dental help. They can direct you to the nearest emergency service. For severe facial swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, go to A&E at Blackpool Victoria Hospital — that's a hospital issue, not a dental one.
