Same-Day Emergency Dental Care for Open Now Blackpool Patients

Dental emergencies rarely arrive at a convenient time. Whether you are experiencing sudden toothache, a broken or chipped tooth, a lost filling, a dental abscess, swelling, bleeding gums or trauma to the mouth, Tower Dental provides same-day emergency dental appointments for patients from Open Now Blackpool and the surrounding Blackpool area. Call us on 01253 353759 as early in the day as possible and our team will arrange for you to be seen by one of our experienced dentists.

Open Now Blackpool is the Blackpool area, approximately 0 minutes from our practice at 302a Devonshire Road, Blackpool FY2 0TW. Unlike many practices that refer emergency patients to NHS 111, we see and treat dental emergencies in-house on the same day, using our own clinical team and diagnostic equipment including digital X-rays and intraoral cameras.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

The following should be treated as emergencies: severe toothache that does not respond to over-the-counter painkillers, a knocked-out or partially dislodged tooth (place it in milk and call immediately), a broken, cracked or chipped tooth with sharp edges or exposed nerve, a dental abscess presenting as painful swelling on the gum or face, a lost crown, filling or veneer leaving the tooth exposed, uncontrolled bleeding following an extraction or trauma, and trauma to the mouth, jaw or teeth. If unsure, call us anyway — we would rather see you and provide reassurance than have you suffer unnecessarily.

What Happens During an Emergency Appointment?

You will be seen promptly by one of our GDC-registered dentists. The appointment includes a thorough clinical examination and digital X-rays where necessary. Our dentists explain clearly what has happened, what the options are, and what each costs — before any work begins. Common emergency treatments include temporary and permanent fillings, re-cementing crowns and bridges, drainage of abscesses, emergency extractions, splinting of loose teeth, and prescriptions for antibiotics or pain relief where clinically indicated.

Emergency Costs

An emergency appointment at Tower Dental costs from £57. For existing patients on our dental plans, emergency appointments are included at no additional charge. Treatment is charged separately and explained before we proceed. We offer 0% finance on treatment plans over £500. Patients from Open Now Blackpool and Bispham and Layton regularly travel to us because they know they will be seen quickly, treated properly, and cared for by a team led by Dr Sarah Metias.
